‘EUROPEAN FLAVOURS WITH A DIP
This will be held at
Molly’s Kovalam with a European flavour
to the food for a change to all those lovely curries we normally have.
Heather has agreed anyone wishing to take advantage of the swimming pool can do
so from 4 o clock until about 6 o clockish.
The ambience of Molly’s is lovely so come and enjoy. Added bonus to the evening 10% off beer and spirits.
LAST MONTH’S PARTY
The ‘March Mad Hare Do’ was
held at The Hotel Indarpuri and was very well
attended by new and existing members.
Comments
from the members on the buffet and service were excellent although some of the
food was a little too spicy and we had addressed the chef before hand to lessen
the spice. Red did an excellent job as usual with his music and requests were
forthcoming and no problem to Red.

WEEKLY TIMEOUT NEWSLETTER
Please remember that Red is waiting for
articles that could be used in his weekly newsletter, events happening,
restaurant meetings etc. Please email him as soon as possible with any
dates you have. It is a very good way of knowing what is happening in the
area and to keep in touch with friends and local restaurants.
Please remember questionnaires are
readily available from the secretary at all functions and help us to find out
what type of things you like and suggest for future functions throughout
the coming months.
If you have any interesting article or
comments to include in the Newsletter, the Committee would be delighted. If you
want to find someone who shares your hobby, why not ask in the Newsletter?
CHARITY AND RAFFLE
At our monthly meetings, we run a Book Stall
/ DVD’s and a Raffle. Donations of books / DVD’s and prizes are most welcome
and help raise funds for our chosen charity.
Thank you to Dorothy Larkin and Jane Fear who
donated prizes for our raffle last month.
AUCTION ITEMS
It has been suggested that a mini Auction
will be held at every function for people wishing to donate any secondhand or
unwanted items. These will be placed on a table and people wishing to make a
donation will be able to put a ticket in a closed box with the amount and their
name on. Towards the end of the evening the person with the higher price
will receive the item although there will be a small reserve price. This will
all go towards helping the ORC, so anything would be grateful please. Clothes,
electrical even furniture although large items we may have to provide a
photograph of.
This was started last month with lots of
interest from our members, thank you to those who made their bids and
won. Again this will take place next month with more items.
