Thank God It’s Friday

TGIF, as it’s affectionately known, was founded way back in 2004 for expatriates to get together over a drink and something to eat at the end of the working week. We meet in city bars and restaurants every Friday night and exchange news and views with each other.

There is no joining fee for TGIF nor any entrance charges. All we ask is for you to pay your food and drink bill at the end of the night (you can pay ours too if you’re feeling generous).

Our members are all ages and types, from the young pale-skinned IT professional working at Technopark to the tanned wrinkly pensioner from the beaches at Kovalam. We have members from England, Germany, the USA, Japan, Ireland, Sweden, Wales, Holland, Australia, the Isle of Man and even Scotland (wherever that is!).

If you are an expatriate living in the Trivandrum area, a foreigner travelling through or just an ordinary paid-up member of the Overseas Residents Club, then come along next Friday night and meet us. It is a pleasant social evening, not a place for heavy drinkers. Some of our members do not even drink!
